As media technologies evolve, how does that impact storytelling? Join new media journalists Jules Terpak, Arielle V. King, Emily Flores, and Alexandra Hildreth as they talk about topics including the creator economy, how they approach storytelling, and how we can preserve meaningful storytelling across evolving content landscapes, specifically as our attention spans shorten.
Alexandra Hildreth is a New York City-based freelance fashion journalist. Her work focuses on approaching fashion media with an honest and critical eye. Her words have been featured in PAPER, i-D, and on SHOWstudio in addition to her TikTok @Guyfieri.Superfan (a name she also responds to).
Arielle V. King is a 24-year-old environmental educator, facilitator, writer, and content creator passionate about making environmentalism inclusive and accessible to all. She is the TikTok and Podcast Host for Intersectional Environmentalist, a climate justice nonprofit dedicated to radically imagining a more equitable and diverse future of environmentalism.
D'Shonda Brown is a Spelman College graduate with a B.A. in English and over 7+ years in the entertainment industry including media relations, publicity, editorial, content creation, and creative direction. Her bylines include publications such as HYPEBAE, HighSnobiety, For(bes) The Culture, REVOLT, and HelloBeautiful and has had interviews with notable industry shakers including BIA, June Ambrose, Taraji P. Henson, Lori Harvey, Storm Reid, and Chloe x Halle.
Sara Radin is a Communications Manager at Instagram where she focuses on trends and next gen programs. Prior to joining Instagram, she was a freelance journalist, an editor at Teen Vogue, a trend forecaster at WGSN, and a trend & concept designer for Converse. Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, New York Mag, the Guardian, British Vogue, Glamour, Allure, Self, and more.
